Ever feel like you’re doing all the things, yet still feeling drained, scattered, or weirdly resentful? Not to mention just plain exhausted.
It’s probably not your to-do list. It might be your boundaries, especially the ones your Human Design is nudging you about.
Each open/undefined (white) centre in your chart has a ‘not-self’ theme, which, if ignored, can turn into sneaky energy leaks. They leave you saying yes when you mean no. Working harder than you need to.
Overthinking, over-giving, and still wondering: why does this feel off?
Let’s plug those leaks, one centre at a time.
Pull out your Human Design chart or look up yours here. Next, you want to look at the shapes (centres) to see which ones are white. These are the ones I’m referring to below today.
(NB – If you happen to not have any white shapes on your chart, that’s ok! You will have your own way of operating and will be less susceptible to these leaks).
Here is a chart with labels of the different centres so you can follow along. In the example below, the undefined or open centres are the identity centre, the spleen and the ego. So you would reference those centres below for tips to help.

Open Head Centre:
The tendency to try to solve everyone else’s problems or take on mental pressure from others = leads to overwhelm and overthinking.
Shift: Allow space for clarity and inspiration to come naturally without the mental noise of trying to solve everyone else’s issues. Follow the ideas that feel calm, clear or aligned- not the ones that scream for attention or the ones you realise come from someone else.
Open Mind Centre:
Needing to be certain and feeling pressured to have an opinion on everything = over-explaining, mental tension and doubting your knowing.
Shift: Certainty isn’t your job. Trust your inner authority over mental debate.
Open Throat Centre:
Talking just to be heard, seen or to fit in = chasing attention that doesn’t satisfy.
Shift: Wait for the right timing and audience- your words land best when they’re invited or recognised.
Open Identity Centre:
Chasing your identity and feeling like you don’t have a clear direction or purpose = shape-shifting for love or direction.
Shift: You don’t need to find yourself. You’re here to be moved by life, but decisions come from within. Embrace your fluid identity and trust that your direction will become clearer with time. Focus on the next move.
Open Ego/Will Centre:
Proving your worth = overcommitting, under-receiving.
Shift: You don’t have to prove your value to anyone, especially not by pushing yourself to extremes. Trust in your own unique rhythm and know that true self-worth comes from within, not from outside approval or recognition.
Open Emotional Centre / Solar Plexus:
Avoiding discomfort = saying yes to keep the peace.
Shift: Boundaries are kind. Let emotions be messy and conversations be honest.
Open Sacral Centre (Manifestors, Projectors, Reflectors):
Pushing to keep up = burnout on a silver platter.
Shift: Your magic isn’t in doing more. It’s in honouring your natural rhythm.
Open Root Centre:
Rushing to relieve pressure = chaos disguised as productivity.
Shift: You’re not behind. Let urgency go and move in your right timing.
